While thinking long and hard about what I wanted to read about, I decided to do the number 1 topic women hate—sexism. The article above is about a little girl who was bluntly told that she could not play with the boys because she is a girl. Now, like the article stated, yes, I get it, at that young age boys think that girls are gross or that they have cootie's but, to take it to the point where they are telling a girl "no" because of her gender, that's going overboard. When I was a little girl, I rarely faced this problem, but, growing older, it becomes more prominent and boys are going a little too far. This stereotype has actually brought down self-esteem for us girls. It makes us think that we are weak or incapable of certain actions like sports, school, or even work. It makes us work ten times harder to prove it to men that we can do it. Is it rewarding, sure, but that's not the point. The point is, all men and women are created equal, and there is nothing to it. So stop the whole, "You can' too it cause your a girl" act, you know darn right that we can do it, because even though this is a "man's world" you need a woman to even create human beings.
